established in 1972
2019 marks our 100 year family anniversary in the Lost River valley. My grandfather settled the flat, just west of town in 1919 and made his living as a government trapper. Dad was born and raised here, graduating from Butte high school in 1956 and then from Idaho state university shortly after that. He came back to the valley to stay in 1972 and secured his real estate licence in 1973. The business officially became LP Barnes Real Estate after he received his brokers licence in 1993. It’s quite entertaining to take a drive in this valley because dad, it seems, has sold almost every property here at least once.
I graduated from Butte high school in 1997, served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, attended Ricks College for a short time and finally came into business with my father in 2001. I married my wife in 2002 and we have 4 amazing children. This is home. I cannot even begin to imagine where in this world I would rather be, than here in Arco.
